Oh Frak!

Looks like I'm going to be doing ChiMe for a few months.

Now I have to wonder: will I be allowed to enter Dave Gudjonis' fabulous issues in the PRP, or does he--and Chicago-- get penalized because I'm in the group and I'm stepping in to help out?

And I thought I was going to have a calm, get-caught-up month, at last.

Does it have to be you who steps in to do the ChiMe? Is there no one else in the group who could or would do it?

I have the same software, which is not common, and it's already a few days past the deadline for the Feb issue.

We have one other in the groups who could do it, but she's got a job.

Others can, but they'd not be able to use Dave's templates, and so the ramp-up work would be overwhelming on such short notice.

As much as I am totally jonesing to be an editor again, I know I shouldn't take on a job of that size for more than a month or two. I'll prolly just put out a basic issue and beg for someone to take over quickly.

So long as you're not submitting your own issues into PRP, which would look like a conflict of interest given that you are the main person responsible for putting up the PRP Chair, I don't see why Chicago shouldn't be able to have ChiMe put up for nomination in PRP.
