Very sorry to hear that. I know how hard that is, and can never watch My Dog Skip again (despite it being a very good movie) because of the timing for me with our having to put down our Springer spaniel. Just remember all the joy your dog brought the family.
I'm so sorry. I wish I didn't know how that felt. It's just really sad, anyway you look at it. I lost my dog in March (well, I didn't lose her - I know where she is - in a box on the bookcase), and I can still bawl like a baby if I let myself think about it for more than a few seconds. It's very hard. Very hard. I'm sorry.
